Have you ever had a CODE Green?
Though I didn't call them CODE Greens before that 80 mg night of February 13th, I had had a couple/few of these "cannabis overdose death experiences" in the past, moments fleeting and lasting where it suddenly dawned on me that I was going to die...and not die in terms of someday in the far future, but rather that very day...or in this case, that very night.
As you can imagine, or perhaps know, this is typically not a pleasant or peaceful experience to say the least. Indeed it can be down right terrifying. Talk about being caught off guard. No wonder emergency room calls and visits are often made during such CODE Green moments. (I'm somewhat curious of the statistics on this, and whether such calls/visits have increased in Colorado the past few years.)
In any case, a little education and experience could go a along way in minimizing such calls and visits. CODE Green education (involving typical presentation, effects, and best treatments) would no doubt be helpful to all health care workers as well.
While I wouldn't recommend deliberate pursuit of a CODE Green, if you do accidently do as I did that night of the 13th (I later told my goodie-giving friend, the package may have been child-proof bit is wasn't fool-proof), you might as well do your best to make it a learning experience. In my own case, the first thing I did was grab a favorite movie...
