deeper into the heart
In (hyper)reflecting on my work of the past 30 years I see this guy with near-obsessive aspirations of "saving the world." What bred such idealism?

Quite simply, I was born in 1963 (and under the sign of Aquarius no less). An authentic child of the Sixties, the infectious spirit of that age--as embodied in the so-called hippie and counter-culture movement-- deeply infused itself into my formative mind and soul, perhaps most especially through radio and TV. During my childhood one or the other of these media played nearly continuously, their music and motion picture programing informing and enriching the young mind beyond estimation. And that was only the start.

I can't stress enough the importance of looking back and learning from this most pivotal decade. Hence the subject of my master's thesis, "History of the Sixties on Film" and my great desire to implement this course.

As I demonstrate herein with my own personal recollections, in getting from point A to point B in life, that is, in going from where you Are to where you wish to Be, knowing your history is key; as the flip-side to this truth says, your current point A was once your point B; thus, as you realize this, you gain greater control of your life as vision of effective vs. noneffective ways improves.

How did you arrive where you Are in 2019? Where do you wish to Be in 2020?

Individually and collectively, in further developing our historical consciousness we can better see how we arrived at our current point A. In turn, as we look ahead, we can better set our sites and direct our efforts towards where we wish to Be in the future. (Of course failing to do this, we risk never moving beyond where we currently Are, a dubious proposition at best.) Which brings us to our wild card..
